Masamichi Ito wins Faldo Series
Uniting Future Legends (UFL) congratulates Masamichi Ito of Japan, who claimed the third Faldo Series title of his career with victory in the sixth Asia Grand Final at Mission Hills Golf Club in China. The 16-year-old fired a final round 67 on the Faldo Course to win by three, adding to the Asia and Europe titles he won in 2010.
80 golfers from 17 countries were at Mission Hills in Shenzhen for the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final.
“I am grateful to our partners, including Mission Hills, The R&A, ISPS and UFL,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “It is this kind of support which allows us to provide opportunity for the finalists this week and to more than 7,000 young golfers annually in 27 countries worldwide”.
In 2010, UFL forged a three-year partnership with the Faldo Series Asia to become the sole apparel provider for the amateur golf series that seeks to nurture the region’s future golf legends.
This year, UFL, outfitted all players of the Faldo Series Asia Grand Finals in its innovative and eco-friendly apparel.
The UFL team does its part to contribute to a sustainable world by incorporating environmentally friendly and sustainable fibers into its apparel. The Faldo Series players’ shirts are produced from fabrics containing “Coolplus” and “Greenplus” yarns, which is polyester made from recycled plastic bottles, in an eight-step process. Additionally, the fabric has moisture wicking and anti-microbial (odor absorbing) attributes, which is suitable for the long duration of the tournament. UFL also provided fashionable windbreaker jackets, which are both windproof and water-resistant.
